The cost for The Butler Did It writing an event for you will vary upon a number of factors including the number of guests, the number of actors we would require to run the event smoothly and the location of your event.

The Butler Did It can provide musicians, stilt walkers, firebreathers, magicians and the like if you wanted your event to be extra special

 

All of our events are written especially for your event. We never use the same script twice.

 

In order to gain a firm quotation of price you will need to contact us to discuss your requirements. but as a rough indication we can suggest the following guide. These prices are for a basic murder mystery only, if there are any other special requirements then these are also taken into consideration

 

Our events generally fall into one of three categories.

 

Each guest will receive an in-depth briefing on who their character is, individual clues and a more in depth level of plot. These events are more suited for family parties, smaller gatherings or just for those who fancy testing their abilities as a super sleuth. Our actors will involve themaselves with your guests for the entire evening, being available throughout the event

 

These sorts of events are most suitable for smaller parties of about 6 - 20 people, with 3 to 4 actors from The Butler Did it attending. The cost would be approximately £200.00 - £350.00 for a 4 - 5 hour event

 

 

Each guest will receive a basic overview of a character, some individual clues and a slightly less complex level of plot. Due to larger numbers, more complex plot would easily become confusing. These events revolve more on your guests working together in teams.

 

These events are more suited to slightly larger gatherings such as small company gatherings or larger family events with between 15 and 50 people. We would provide 4 - 6 actors who would be available throughout the event. The cost would be approximately £300.00 - £600.00 for a 4 to 5 hour event

 

 

Large groups of over 50 require a different format.

Rather than trying to provide characters to each person and involve everyone in the plot, each guest would play themselves. The game becomes more a theatre performance with your guests having the opportunity to question the suspects.

Our actors would be present for meeting and greeting, and to help entertain your guests throughout the event, but the plot itself would be less "hands on" than for smaller events. 

 

These events are probably more suited to corporate functions with the number of guests in excess of 50. The cost would be approximately £500.00 - £750.00 for a 4 to 5 hour event

 

 

Where character actors are required to help set a scene we have actors available for meeting and greeting, small performance peices and helping to spread a message or raise awareness of a product brand.
